Hey Will--
I don't know what happened, but I recently clicked the update button after adding a couple albums to my music folder and Netjukebox lost date information. Now, clicking the "new" link under media gives me a (mostly) alphabetical list of my music, most of which I purchased a long time ago.
Is there a way to refresh this data, so that it reads from the "Date Modified" metadata in Windows Explorer? Or something similar? I practically live on the "new" section of Netjukebox, and this is kind of painful.
Thanks--
Jeremy

This can happen when creating a new database, than you will also loose genre and online status.
You will also loose the loose genre and new data when updating from an empty directory.
Restore a previous backup from the database and update again.
I hope you have made a backup from the netjukebox database.

I have a found a solution for the upcomming netjukebox version!
When adding an album it will use the current time,
and if there is an existing xxxxxxxxx.id files than it will use the file modification time from that file.
The last step will only be taken when the album is not already in the database!
So when creating a new database it will use the file modification time from the xxxxxxxxx.id file.
And if you want to use the current time dan you can delete all xxxxxxxxx.id files and then update.

Sounds good, but will there be a problem if I add a few albums over the course of a month, and don't update Netjukebox until the end of the month? Will they still be in the order I added them?
Also, is it possible to refresh this data across the entire database without creating a new database? Sadly, I have not backed up the database. (Doh!)

No

With the new version you can EMPTY the album database with phpMyAdmin and update again.
I have tested it and it works, still you will loose genre and popular information, but you have back the new album information!
I will release the new version shortly!

FYI, I just deleted the Netjukebox database completely and rebuilt it from scratch, and the albums still aren't sorted properly under the "new" section. I'm using Windows 7 64-bit. Is something wrong on my end? Maybe I misunderstood, but I thought you said it would use the windows metadata if I wiped and restored the database. Hm... maybe this thread should be moved to Tech support.
