Can this do what I want it to do?

So I have netjukebox setup on my home server, and can connect to it from work. How can I stream music in my browser at work? When I select a track to play I get an error saying:

Music Player Daemon error
Can't connect to: ##.###.###.###:80
A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond.

Outside your local area network use streaming!
For streaming use the icon that looks like )))

It is possible to directly stream the source file, for example a mp3 file.
To do this select source from config>stream profile.
For transcoding to another format/bitrate use another profile.
Than you also need to install the appropriate decoder/encoder.
