Well, I think I figured out the 2nd issue myself.
Music Player Daemon is not part of Netjukebox
Would be nice if that was in the documentation for noobs like me...

Netjukebox looks like what I want, if I can get it to work.
Windows 10 x64
XAMPP 7.4.2
address: http://localhost/netjukebox

1st issue:
When I click Config > Update it stays stuck on Image, even with 1 mp3 in the music folder.
Commented everything under "Image services" in configure.inc.php ...
