Hi,
After updating to 6.59.4, the "Add" option when selecting allowed user functions is gone.
Is this normal? Was this removed? I had the old version set up so anonymous users could add tracks to the playlist, but could not "Play" a track directly or skip tracks. Only the admin could.
Now anonymous users have the ability to skip tracks.
If the "Add" options is still available, is it possible to make it so users can't add an entire album to the playlist?
Also, what is the proper procedure for updating NetJukebox? I found no instructions on how to properly run an update.
Any help is greatly appreciated. Have a Halloween party coming up and system is not where it needs to be.

Re: Missing User options after 6.59.4 update
Hello ranman448,
A longer time ago I have removed the Add and Playlist Access control, they are now combined to Play Access.
This was done to make the code easier for the new switch function between Play- and Stream Mode.
And the new switch between Playlist en Stream (playlist). Sorry for the inconvenience.
Besides the switch mode there are more new features like Upload album, Get country info from a local GeoLite 2 database, copy url to clipboard for shared stream, etc...

Re: Missing User options after 6.59.4 update
Hi,
Thanks for the reply.
I went back to 6.21, since the update played hell with my databases and pretty much destroyed them. lol
I thought I had a backup, but it would not take the files I backed up.
So I blew the database away and let it re-create it.
I'm getting a couple of errors that I've never gotten before now through when updating my library:
Could not find valid MPEG synch before end of file
and
unable to determine file format with some .acc, .mpg, and .mpeg files.
About 650 .mp3 files on the first error and about 10-15 on the second error with video files.
Didn't get these errors before the failed update. I left the newer helper applications in place. Could that be causing this?
Is it possible to edit the .PHP files in the Media interface to remove the ability to add an entire album to the playlist? I'm somewhat familiar with .PHP. Not an expert by no means, but have done plenty of programming in other languages so I can fumble my way around sometimes... lol
Really love this software by the way!
Will probably stick with 6.21 since it does what we want pretty well so far.
Thank you so much!
Randy

Re: Missing User options after 6.59.4 update
I have checked all sql files where access_add was dropped:
Version 53 <=> netjukebox 6.33.3
I have uploaded the latest 5 versions with "Add Privilege" to Sourceforge:
https://sourceforge.net/projects/netjuk ... eprecated/
It can be that these versions have bug's that now are already fixed.
I hope that this will help you
Have a nice weekend!
