If you like the demo, than I expect you will like the complete netjukebox
Donation will be highly appreciated, and used for maintain the website.
I will also make a list from people who have made a donation.
If someone will make an anonymous donation or use another name as the email address, send me also an email from the same account where you have made the PayPall donation.

Great
I haven't had the time to install it yet; been busy with school but will do for sure this week-end.
In the mean time, couple of questions:
1.- Must the user have winamp in order to use it? Or as long as the user has some media player (i.e. Windows Media Player), it will catch the stream?
2.- Are videos supported?
3.- Is there a way to set it such that some visitor can look at the collection but needs to sign up to enjoy the stuff?
Please let me know!
Thanks

1: There are two ways to playback with netjukebox: streaming and LAN playback.
Streaming is mostly used to play files over the internet. The bandwidth of streaming is configurable. At the moment it is possible to stream to MP3 and OGG Vorbis (Ogg Vorbis is only working correctly from IIS). With the current netjukebox and codec pack it is possible to stream from ape, flac, mp3, mpc ogg, wma and wv source files.
For LAN playback the client needed Winamp + httpQ to playback any file as long as Winamp supported it (2: also video). With this configuration it is possible to use the playlist webinterface. And it is possible to remotely control Winamp + httpQ from any computer with a web browser.
3: For each user you can configure what his privileges are:
http://www.netjukebox.nl/bitmap/screens ... _users.gif
On the demo site with user demo only browse is allowed.

Hi!
I finally installed and got it running. I am interested in Streaming only to my users. I would think that I do not need the httpQ splugin. However, in order to have the playist not generate the error, I had to install it:
Code: Select all
Can't connect to Winamp httpQ plugin on:
127.0.0.1:4800
After installing the plugin, it shows the playlist with a new error:
But this is weird due to the fact that I am able to browse and see my mp3 file. But there is no way for me to play it. When I click play, nothing happens.
Bottom line, I think that I am not setting the jukebox to stream. Any tips?
Thanks!

The playlist is only for LAN playback (Winamp + httpQ plugin)
For streaming audio you also need to download the codec pack.
Extract them to a directory and set the coresponding paths in config.inc.php (default: D:\Console\Codec\.....)

+ Button to add the track or album to Winamp + httpQ plugin.
))) Button is for streaming.
The buttons looking a litle bit different, but you get the picture
