Hi anybody out there.
I know that the file structure is given by netjukebox design. Unfortunately my existing file structure is a little bit generic and I have to rename all files manually to fit the required format.
So my question is, has anybody experiences with/ knowledge about / tested automatically renaming tools, to get a consistent filestructure naming.
I've done som google research about this topic and found the following interesting requirements perhaps such a tool should include:
* Renaming by ID3 Tag
* Proposals from the existing Filename / Directoryname
* Hash-Values of File and comparison with an internet database (bitzi-ticket)
* ...
Do you know such a tool, I think it would be helpful to anybody using the netjukebox.
File (Re)naming
You could try to find the program Tag&Rename. That's what I use. It suits me just fine.

The time I only had mp3 files I used the EZ-Playlist plugin for Winamp.
I like Flexible Renamer, It is a multi purpose rename program.
Witch also can rename files based on EXIF in photo's

For renaming tags based on file names I use frontah.
This is also my favorite program for decoding and encoding music.

On the hydrogenaudio forum I heard this must be a good program:

Re: File (Re)naming
Ahh but what if the ID3 tags are not correct? Then you have to go with other means... I have ran into this alot with my collection but for the most past I would have to agree with Devoraz with the program Tag&Rename. It is well worth the purchasexdreamer wrote:* Renaming by ID3 Tag

Thanks for your help. I bought the Tag&Rename tool. It is very useful.
I have some "best practice" with renaming files for the moment.
First I correct all ID3 Tags with Tag&Rename (manually or automatically, where possible (from filename, internet or cd cover))
Second Rename all Files and Directories (from the set ID3 Tags)
both can be done with the Tag&Rename Tool.
Some question on the first task.
Did anyone experience mysql errors within netjukebox after renaming ID3 tags.
I had to clean up the whole database and to rebuild it. It has not necessarily to be connected with the renaming task. But I do not have any other idea why this error occured.

Due to the fact I resetted my database, I passed the chance to log the exact error codes. But within the search and the album views, it was not possible to access/view the album data.
The errors were standard mysql errors related to failed sql queries within the database.
Sry, I can not provide more information at this point. If I have a little spare time I try to reproduce the behavior by further renaming of the ID3 Tags
. I was only wondering how the errors can occur due to the fact, that the netjukebox strongly relays on the file naming, which actually did not change at this time.
But many thanks for your support.
